I'm overdue for a blog post but...we were just a wee bit busy. Sheilynn (my daughter), Blake (her boyfriend), and I just got back from a week long trip to Oahu. One of my dear friends lives there and we decided to snag a quick little vacay while there were some fabulous fare sales going on.
We flew out on Wednesday, January 31st.
NO SEAT BELT EXTENDER REQUIRED! It was definitely a snug fit, but hey, it's suppose to be, right? My big ol' legs weren't pressed into the seat in front of me and I could bend down and reach my purse as well.
I could...ya know...function! WHAT A FEELING!
I trekked through the airport without feeling like I had to stop and take a breather, hauled my own bags (Alan is usually my pack mule since it use to be hard to just carry myself), I made it up and down the plane aisle without having to turn to the side and squeeze down, and I WAS ABLE TO USE THE RIDICULOUSLY SMALL BATHROOM! What?????
I love to travel and I want to do so much more of it. It started to get to the point of not being "worth it" because I couldn't do and enjoy half the things you should while on a new adventure. Things that require physical activity.
I'm getting there. I still have a long way to go, but it's happening.
There's no stopping me now!
I'll post another blog tomorrow about something else I was able to do on the trip that I wouldn't have been able to do before.
