I woke up this morning sooooooooo sore. Sore in places I haven't been sore before. Well, sore pretty much all over.
Not only was I muscularly sore, my toe was in PAIN! Yesterday during Strike Force I missed a right round house kick and instead slammed my toes into the bag. I had my shoes on at the time so didn't think to check them out and sort of forgot about it as the night went on. When I woke up this morning I realized half my big toe nail was hanging off my toe and it had been bleeding overnight. So, it must have cracked yesterday upon impact and decided to come off while I was sleeping. I do have a photo, but I won't make you look at it. Just know, my toe hurts!
My first gym injury...a bum toe. A bum toe on a day that I'm suppose to ""run"" 800 meters 4x. Run is in airquotes because...well...my run is more like a fat trot. It isn't pretty and doesn't take me very far. I'm working on it. I certainly can't run 800 meters once, let alone 4x. More like 8 meters at a time off and on. BUT, I have walked over 3.5 miles today so we'll call it a win.
The rest of the workout went great. I haven't peeked at tomorrow's yet. I think I'll wait until morning so it's a surprise.
I stopped by Planet Fitness on my way home and laid on the Hydro Massage Bed for 10 minutes. I'm going to have to do that more often. (Thanks Alan for suggesting I do so.)
I have spent the last couple of days working on a special guest blog post for a friend's site. I'm excited to share it when she has it posted.
