I know many folks dread leg day, but my legs are so much stronger than my arms so leg day is actually my favorite. So far, so good this evening. We will see what getting out of bed in the morning feels like. Today's workout wasn't all that brutal but I did keep the weight pretty friendly. I'm trying to prevent my legs from swelling with lymph again.
Prior to this workout, I did Aquafit and spent an extra half hour or so in the pool swimming laps and putting my legs to work. It was a great warm-up. I don't feel like I went as hard today but, Saturday morning is my big morning so it was a good low-key day. Boot Camp, Strike Force, and Day 5....OH MY!
Twelve or so years ago I found a really cute pair of capri pants on the clearance rack at Fashion Bug. They were a size too small and fit even much smaller than that, but I got them anyway because they were such a good deal and totally adorable. I have never been able to wear them but have carted them around from house to house over the years. Tonight while getting ready to go meet a friend that was in town for a visit, I was stumped on what to wear. I don't have many real, cute clothes anymore. My wardrobe mostly consists of gym tanks and yoga pants or leggings. I grabbed my really old brand new pants and tried them on. THEY FIT PERFECTLY! (They even make my booty look gooooooooood.)
The scale has been hanging out right around 290 for a while but over the last few days I have had numerous people comment how much smaller I am. So while my pounds aren't dropping, my figure is changing and apparently shaping up nicely. Because I have added so much lifting back to my workout regimen, I expect the loss to slow as I continue to build muscle. So, keep the NSVs coming.
