I pulled out my journal/notes from Bali. There are actually only two journal entries from the beginning of my trip and the rest are notes from my training. I refer to it often because it has some great information in there from our many instructors. I know I said I'd be back to tell you about the yoga studio but first...
I should have written every time I've wanted to over the last couple of days. Unfortunately, I was quite queasy during all the travel and knew it would only make it worse. I don't do well writing or reading in cars, planes, etc.
I arrived in Bali yesterday evening absolutely exhausted. Time travel and lack of sleep (well, good sleep) really does a number on ya. The room is lovely, the resort if gorgeous, and the bed is surprisingly comfy. I was a little worried as I just picked it from pictures and reviews on a website I hadn't used before. I'm happy I did, and the location is great.
This morning I walked to the Sacred Monkey Forest. When I left, the weather was still pretty friendly. As it got a little later, and the clouds burned off, it warmed up and got uncomfortably humid. This will definitely take some getting use to. I was worried about my arm pit because of sweat and bacteria, so I booked it back to the room so I could shower and change. I was drenched. I had to hand wash my sleeves so they'd be clean as I was still using them 100% of the time. I took a long nap and finally felt fully rested afterwards.
I had a nice video chat with Sheilynn. She really is such a sweet, caring, smart, and beautiful young lady. I'm one lucky momma. I wish she were here with me. I want to give her the world. Or, at least explore it with her. She would LOVE it here!
I went and found some dinner at a little Mexican (go figure) cantina just across the street. It was delicious. Shei would love their elote. I met a woman dining alone next to me and we chatted for quite some time. That made for such a lovely evening. While solidarity is a wonderful thing, I'm a people person. I enjoy good company. I'm learning how to be better company for myself, by myself. I'm not sure what's in store for tomorrow, but I'll come back and tell you all about it.
I didn't. Of course. Instead, notes upon notes from training. I still seek to find more joy in documenting my story. It's a good one.
So, I wished Shei could share Bali with me and TADA! We are making that happen. I didn't even remember writing that when we planned this trip but...I knew she would love it. We are going to have so much fun.
If you have wishes, dreams, a bucket list, things you want to do, places you want to go... MAKE IT HAPPEN!
